I read your piece on Ameriplan. I'd like to add this: I got their plan and they have been deducting $19.95 from my bank account. I decided to cancel as I wasn't using it. I called them and they refused to cancel my account over the phone. That threw up a red flag. They said I had to cancel by sending a fax or mail to them. I sent a fax. They still
deducted money out of my account. I called them. Of course, they denied they got the fax. The woman I spoke with laughed and said they get lots of complaints about this policy. I wonder how many people they are doing this to. No wonder they are making millions. I recently came across a book at:www.UltimateConsumerRevenge.com entitled "Consumer Revenge",that tells how to deal with companies like this and get your money back. I'm following their plan of action now. We'll see what happens. In any case, DO NOT use Ameriplan! |
