The Prosperity Automated System
The Prosperity Automated System (PAS) is a system developed by Prosperity Network, Inc. Prosperity Network, Inc is a company based in California for over twelve years. The founder CEO is Mr. William Osterhout, a masters graduate from Cornell University. While it claims to be a Multi Level Marketing opportunity, after further inspection The Prosperity Automated System seems to me to be basically a pyramid scheme. You see the main difference between a MLM and a pyramid is that in an MLM you are selling other products and not the actual system itself. Although The Prosperity Automated System offers several different products, everything I read told me that they pretty much force you to just sell the system to others. Initially, you have to pay $3895 for joining the system. The income from your first sale goes to the system sponsor. We must also consider that everyone who pays becomes a rep for the company, so theoretically there can be no sales outside the pyramid. The Prosperity Automated System makes promises of huge returns with no (or very little) work. They tell you that they will advertise for you, have a product for you, and even have people to close the sale for you. My question to them is then; what do you need me for? In my opinion, you're only needed for your $4,000 dollars. Here is one person's first hand account with this company: I joined over THREE months ago with only ONE qualifying sale to show for my efforts! As soon as I realized I had to actively promote this turkey to make it fly it was too late to get my money back. I joined PAS so that I could earn a decent PASSIVE income. I, regrettably, bought into their snake-oil tainted hype. Since I couldn't get my money back I decided to try and make the best of a rotten situation and so initiated an aggressive marketing campaign. What have I achieved from over $3000 spent? NOTHING!!! I'm now going completely passive until I can avail myself of the money-back 'guarantee', which is supposedly given after 12 months with no sales beyond the one which qualified me. If that guarantee isn't honored I'm sure that there will be plenty of dissatisfied PAS members out there who'll join me in a class-action lawsuit! |
It's difficult to get the straight story on The Prosperity Automated System and it took me a long time to gather the information for this article since I was unwilling to spend almost $4000 to get a first hand look. Part of the problem is that most of the people saying anything remotely positive about this company are already in the pyramid and trying desperately to recruit someone under them. The Prosperity Automated System is a typical pyramid scheme in that the people at the top of the pyramid will always be the ones making money through the efforts and money of those lower down in the pyramid. The Prosperity Automated System will not currently refund after ten days have passed and they claim themselves that 60-90 days are necessary to get a sale (try never.) You will also probably spend several hundred dollars a month for their worthless ad packs. I don't waste my time with MLM's and certainly not with pyramid schemes anymore because I found something that's a lot better. This opportunity has changed the way I think about making money.
