Gifting Programs
A gifting program is just a new face put on the old pyramid schemes. It is basically a pyramid scheme in which people start a 'gifting club', and make a lot of money recruiting many other people as members of the club. A gifting program requires people to pay a fee to become a member. A membership for a gifting club can be quite expensive. The membership fee for most of the clubs range between $3500.00 - $5000.00. A fee of some cheap clubs range between $500.00 and $1000.00.
An originator of a gifting program or club, at level A, will recruit the first four people to the club. The newly recruited members at level B will recruit four more members each and at level C all the newly recruited members will further recruit new members and so the pyramid goes on.
The money or gift collected at each level will go to the members at the immediately higher level. For example, the gift of money collected from the members of level B will go to the members of level A, and the gift collected from the members of level D will go to the members of level C. Like this, a hierarchy of members gets established in a gifting program, in which the old members flourish on the fresh members. Like all pyramid schemes, sooner or later, the program tumbles down, because the money, once gone, is gone forever and people become aware that they are being fooled and will never get their money back. Recently new versions of gifting programs are coming up that are offering poor quality software as the gifts in return of a membership fee. Gifting programs are created by the same people who create pyramid schemes, those who are willing to do anything to get someone else's money. These are nothing but scams. The gifting clubs, gifting programs are now highly illegal in most U.S. states.
