World Financial Group
World Financial Group is an organization dealing in financial solutions and marketing of different life insurances, mutual funds, and many annuities. Although WFG's business model is legitimate I have several issues with the way this company runs itself. Firstly World Financial Group recruits lower income individuals who generally have no sales experience in general, much less insurance or loan sales. The recruitment process is very unprofesional in my opinion and runs much more like an infomercial sell with promises of quick riches and a work-free lifestyle. If you do decide to join you have to pay for the joining fees, costs of the license for the insurance products, course fees for enrolling and learning about the insurance products, and the like. This is understandable but some costs are inflated like the $100 fee for a background check when a background check really cost around $50. Once you're a member you're immediately trained on how to recruit your friends and family members instead of being trained on how to sell insurance or loans. This is why the World Financial Group has been accused many times of being a pyramid scheme, because they focus much more on getting you to recruit others instead of actually selling a product. Everyone who works for World Financial Group also comes to a financial dilemma pretty early on. You can sell various insurance or loan packages and generally the less competitive the package is the more commission you'll make on it. So essentially you're put to the choice of whether or not you knowingly want to sell inferior products to your customers, although superior ones are clearly available to you, in order to maximize your profit. That being said, it is possible to make money with World Financial Group, but it's nowhere as easy as they would love for you to believe. Just as any other MLM/Pyramid system, you either have to be an exceptional salesmen with a never ending motivation to recruit and sell, or you have to have entered the program at the top of the pyramid (this is where the owners are) in order to really be successful. I stopped wasting my time with pyramid schemes and the people who try to sell them to you because I realized they don't care about people like you and me. I found something better that's really started to make a change in my financial life. It involves no selling or recruiting of family members.
