UGA Corp
UGA Corp is a division of Mega Life, the New United Agency, and Performance Driven Awards, Inc. The company claims to serve the needs of small business owners and the rising class of the self-employed. UGA Corp offers them benefits and compensation programs, they say are, equal to what they would receive from most employers. Although UGA Corp is a legitimate company and is a division of a multi million dollar corporation many people have spoken out against it. Part of the reason for the complaints is the way in which UGA Corp recruits its sales force. They routinely scout job search sites like Career Builder and Monster for potential sales reps. They send out very ambiguous emails telling folks that they have a position for them paying between 60-100k. Those that pursue this opportunity quickly learn about the misleading nature of the opportunity. When people show up to their "interview" they're surprised to see a large meeting room full of 20-40 other applicants. The UGA Corp event is more of a sales pitch session than a standard job interview. The speaker spends most of the time hyping up UGA and the opportunity, talking about how high their stock is and all the finance magazines that have featured UGA. They also push the UGA opportunity which will have you selling UGA products on a strictly commission basis. Moreover, they charge you around $300 as a set up fee to get involved with UGA Corp. You can see how frustrating this gets for job hunters who don't have time to be sidetracked with this. They also use a lot of in your face sales tactics, like waving around bonus checks, which discredit the legitimacy of the opportunity. When's the last time you were on a job interview where the interviewer bragged about his bank statements. Basically the entire ordeal does not feel like a real job interview. They assume that everyone is qualified for the position. The managers take no more than a glance at your resume, if that, and keep telling you about the large commissions you'll be earning. The insurance products themselves have been criticized as well. Independent insurance brokers have said that the Mega Life products are deceptive and have many exclusions. To make matters worse, their recruitment efforts result in a sales force that is unqualified and often don't present customers the best options. Recently I've been working with a tried and tested business opportunity that's really made a difference in my financial life. It's probably like nothing you've ever heard of before and it may surprise you to see just how easy it may help you create personal wealth.
